Joy Aljouny shared her experience with us.

Q1. Could you brief us about how your business model works?

Fetchr was launched with an aim to disrupt the logistics industry with technology. Since, delivery businesses require your workforce to reach different customers, you have to ensure that the packages are received in time. The biggest challenge is finding the customer’s location. Thus, we implemented a model similar to Uber where your delivery workforce can use mobile application to track customer’s location. Simply put: Imagine if DHL married UBER, you will get Fetchr.

Q2. Which key strategy you keep in mind and share your success mantra?

Our strategy is: Anything that has delivery in it has to be tech.

Our success mantra is: Don’t take NO for an answer.

Q3. “The industry brims with theories on what makes millennials tick.” To what point you agree with this with your business?

I think it is true because tech adoption is the easiest in millennials. If you look around you will find that millennials quickly volunteer to experiment and adopt with whatever is new in the technology.

Q4. Do you plan to expand your brand presence across other regions?

Certainly, we aim to expand it in entire Middle East and some parts of Africa as well.

Q5. Share the biggest achievement of your company till date?

Well, we were ranked as the #1 startup in Middle East by Forbes Middle East Innovators. Also, when we received huge investment from one of the biggest global venture capital firm, New Enterprise Associates.

Q6. Where do you see your industry going in next five years?

In the next five years, I believe we could have transformed the entire delivery and logistics niche with technology.

Q7. What makes you different from your competitors?

Honestly, we don’t think we have any competitors. We are actually creating a niche for other startups to join and follow.

Q8. Two suggestions for the aspiring entrepreneur and upcoming startups?

Like I said earlier, you should never take No for an answer.

To create a business that lasts forever, find a problem in the society. Then look for its solution that is not local but global. Imagine how you can solve it using technology. And there you are with you startup.
